After a winter of relentless storms and battering waves, spring has finally sprung, and Ian and Susannah heralded its arrival with a wedding to remember. With a gorgeous blue dress to match the deep blue of the spring sky this wedding was far from typical. There were page boys with swords dressed as knights, bridesmaid with rich green dresses with golden details and fresh flowers, and a banquet with some of the best food I’ve tasted at a wedding. Friends and family came from near and far to celebrate the wedding of this amazing couple.
Watergate Bay hotel in Newquay is a stunning venue for a wedding. Perched above the beach it offers the perfect backdrop for a wedding photographer. And this really was a wedding to remember. It began when the bride and her daughter had some chill out time in the bath before the wedding, and was topped off when the other half of the wedding party descended into the sea at the end of a great day! I hope you enjoy looking at the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.
I’ve had an amazing run of weddings that have been blessed with dry weather, I think it’s been something like 20 weddings without a drop of rain to spoil the fun. So I was slightly concerned when the heavens opened on the morning of Mark and Sophies wedding, but being a man of faith I offered up a few prayers and before we knew it the sun was out! Yes… The track record continues!
What a day it turned out to be… It was a really vibrant wedding with so much colour and joy. The vicar was one of the happiest and fun I’ve seen in a long while and brought so much life to the ceremony. After Mark and Sophie tied the knot we formed a massive convey and made away across the county to St Ives and the Tregenna Castle. We even managed to get some time on the beautiful Porthmeor beach… you gotta love St Ives!
This is a photo I took at a gorgeous wedding in St Ives, Cornwall, young love! It is these special candid moments that so often go unnoticed that I really love to capture when I photograph weddings… SO cute!
Happy Valentines Day everyone, it’s true all you need is love!
I love taking photos of people taking photos, and not only because Jack Johnson sings about! For me it is just another creative angel on the wedding day.
As a Cornwall Wedding Photographer I was so excited to photograph this wedding at Sennen, it was like something from a film set. With Heidi’s beautiful Cornish complexion and Bosco’s rich Ugandan tones the contrast was visually stunning. And although a thick mist descended on the day it didn’t dampen spirits, instead it offered the added bonus of diffusing the light providing perfect conditions to capture this amazing couple’s wedding day. My personal highlight was when the wedding party went down onto Sennen beach to play a massive game of rounders – not something you see every day!
Lusty Glaze Beach is one of my favorite locations in Cornwall for wedding photography, so I was a happy man when I recently shot Stu and Lou’s gorgeous beach wedding. As soon as the wedding preparation started in the morning I knew it was going to be a fun filled wedding. Stu and Lou are an amazing couple with so much style, passion and love. The day really was picture perfect.
Blue skies and golden sand. Scrummy food and acoustic sounds. Skinny dipping and cuban cigars. What’s not to love?
